Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

CASA requires inspection of wing‑tip tank attachment bolts on certain Mitsubishi MU‑2 aeroplanes, to be done per Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Service Bulletin 225 within 100 hours TIS after 18 July 1996.

It affects specified MU‑2B‑10/15/20/25/26 and MU‑2B‑30/35/36 serial ranges and matters because incorrect, corroded bolts have been found and bolt failure could allow wing‑tip tanks to separate; owners/operators bear inspection and rectification costs.
