Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Morane Saulnier/Rallye aeroplanes (per Socata Service Bulletin 150/2 Amendment 2) to remove and inspect the nose wheel axle for fatigue cracks at regular intervals (dye‑penetrant checks every 500 flight hours) and to reinstall the axle with new bolts, washers and locknuts at longer intervals (every 2,000 flight hours).

It matters because undetected axle cracks or failed attaching bolts can cause nose‑wheel collapse during landing or taxiing, risking loss of control and serious injury.
