Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Aerospatiale Rallye 880B, 885, 893A and 894A aeroplanes to replace the engine-firewall sealant with a fireproof sealant (or comply with FAA AD 70-17-6) within 100 hours time-in-service after 30 October 1970. It’s a one‑time regulatory maintenance mandate that creates a short-term cost and scheduling burden for affected operators to eliminate a fire-safety risk.
