This Directive requires owners/operators of Maule M6 aircraft to carry out the corrective actions in Maule Service Bulletin No. 20 (27 Dec 1999) to prevent cable slippage at nicopress sleeves. It applies to all M6 models and serial numbers, with a 100‑hour compliance window and a 25‑hour window for specified M6‑235 serial numbers. Owners/operators pay for and schedule the work; CASA (the delegate) mandates compliance under CAR 1998. The action responds to reports of cable slipping caused by an incorrectly set tool.
