AD/ML-M4/4 - Engine Mount Rear Support Fittings - Modification - CANCELLED

This directive formally cancels an old aircraft safety rule that required owners of Maule M-4 series aeroplanes to modify their rear engine mount fittings (the metal brackets that attach the engine to the airframe).

What the original rule did: Issued in 1967, it required immediate modification of rear engine mount tubes according to the manufacturer's Service Letter No. 10 to prevent dangerous metal fatigue and cracking.

Why it's being cancelled: Because compliance was required immediately ('forthwith') when first issued over 40 years ago, every affected aircraft would have been modified long ago. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) is simply removing this obsolete rule from the books as a housekeeping measure.
