Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Operators of SB Lim‑2 (MiG‑15UTI) aircraft with Lis 2 or Lis‑2SB engines must withdraw any engines known to have been run on specified synthetic lubricating oil before the next flight after 14 August 1993. Those engines may only be returned to service with explicit, specific approval from the engine manufacturer or the Civil Aviation Authority. This imposes grounding, verification and approval costs on affected owners/operators and concentrates return‑to‑service control with manufacturer/regulator.
