Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires certain Mooney M20E/F/J aircraft fitted with Dukes auxiliary fuel pumps using carbon vanes to either install an inline filter cartridge per Mooney SB M20-222B or replace the carbon vanes with nylatron vanes per Dukes SB No 0002 (retaining the housing). Owners/operators must comply by 30 Aug 1994 to prevent pump debris from damaging the engine-driven fuel pump; the amendment clarifies when the cartridge can be omitted.
