Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Owners/operators of specified Mooney M20 models must inspect the control‑wheel shaft shortly after reaching 1,000 hours TIS (within 25 hours) and then every 500 hours until the aircraft is modified per Mooney Service Bulletin M20‑205B. The AD, enforced by CASA, shifts inspection and modification costs, downtime, and recordkeeping responsibility to owners/operators while allowing the SB modification as a one‑time alternative to recurring inspections.
