AD/M20/26 - Landing Gear Actuator - Replacement - CANCELLED

This document cancels an outdated aviation safety rule that is no longer needed.

What it does It formally revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/M20/26, originally issued in 1977. That old directive required owners of Mooney M20 series aircraft to replace their main landing gear actuators within 200 flight hours after 31 March 1977.

Who it affects Owners and operators of Mooney M20 series aeroplanes (single-engine, four-seat aircraft).

Why it matters Because all affected aircraft would have completed this safety modification decades ago, the rule serves no further purpose. As of 7 May 2009, the legal obligation to comply with this specific directive is removed. Note that the physical landing gear modifications remain on the aircraft; this simply removes the paperwork requirement.
