Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of TIO and LTIO-540 Lycoming engines to replace any brass or bronze turbocharger oil inlet adaptor bushing with a steel bushing (example acceptable P/N STD 1932), completing the change before the next Maintenance Release after 12 March 1987 and ensuring steel bushings at each overhaul thereafter. It reissues a prior intent after an in‑flight power/oil loss linked to a brass bushing; operators bear replacement cost and downtime.
