Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive orders operators of specified Gates Learjet 23–25 series aeroplanes to inspect main landing gear tyres for Goodyear part number 178K23-5 with serial numbers in the 0148xxxx–0152xxxx range and to replace any affected tyre before further flight. It responds to reported tread separation in a batch of tyres.

Aircraft operators bear the cost and must carry out the visual check and any replacements; the Civil Aviation Safety Authority delegate issues and enforces the requirement, changing operator procedures immediately and setting a compliance deadline.
