Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of certain Gates Learjet 35/36 serial-numbered aircraft to replace the aileron trim-tab balance weight using Gates Learjet AMK 83-3, with work completed within 600 hours TIS after 31 Dec 1984 or at the next aileron/trim-tab removal/rebalance, whichever is first. The manufacturer says the change prevents possible flutter if the trim-tab disconnects; affected operators fund and schedule the work and must follow the AMK for compliance.
