Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of specified Gates Learjet 23/24/25 aircraft with the 36-inch cabin door to inspect and, if needed, modify the upper cabin door locking mechanism per Gates Learjet SB 23/24/25-280A. Inspections are due within 100 hours TIS after 3,000 hours and recur until the terminating modification kit AMK 78-2 is fitted. It affects operators and maintenance organisations, shifts costs to owners, and addresses a hidden door‑locking failure risk.
