Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this does: This is a safety rule for Morava L200 series aircraft (a type of small aeroplane). It requires owners to upgrade the pilot seatbelts to modern safety harnesses with inertia reels (the type that lock automatically during sudden movement, similar to car seatbelts).

Who it affects: Anyone who owns or operates a Morava L200 series aircraft.

What must happen: Before the aircraft can receive its Certificate of Airworthiness (the official document allowing it to fly), the front pilot seats must be fitted with approved safety harnesses incorporating inertia reels. The installation must follow a scheme approved by the Secretary (of the Department responsible for aviation safety).
