Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory airworthiness directive orders owners and operators of Meta Sokol L.40 aircraft to upgrade the elevator and rudder control systems by replacing lone single‑strand control wires with approved flexible cables meeting specified strength, thickness, stiffness, and tension requirements. It affects pilots, owners, and maintenance engineers and matters because stronger, properly tensioned cables prevent wire failure that could cause loss of control in flight.
