Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Applies to Kitfox aeroplanes with aluminium wing tanks: owners must visually inspect tanks for fuel leaks before and after each flight, record the AD on the Maintenance Release and carry a copy aboard. The pilot‑in‑command may perform and certify the checks by entering AD/KITFOX/3. Inspections continue until tanks are replaced with fibreglass; the manufacturer offers a low‑cost conversion to eliminate the recurring inspection burden.
