This AD requires operators of Jetstream 3100 and 3200 aircraft fitted with main landing gear radius rods part numbers 1847 or 1862 to carry out inspections set out in BAe Systems Mandatory Service Bulletin 32-JA 991140, effective 10 August 2000. It was issued because the manufacturer reported cracks and one total radius‑rod failure.

Operators must follow the service bulletin’s timing and procedures and bear inspection/repair costs; compliance is enforced by CASA under CAR 1998 subreg 39.1(1).
