Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Jetstream Series 200, 3100 and 3200 aircraft (except constructor numbers 936 and 940) to inspect and, if necessary, repair the rudder quadrant support structure following BAe Mandatory Service Bulletin 53-JA-990842. Where that SB has already been applied, operators must check that the correct rivets were used. The CASA delegate issued the AD and set a compliance deadline of 31 December 2000 (Requirement; Compliance). Operators pay for inspections/repairs and must change their maintenance work accordingly.
