Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of British Aerospace Jetstream 3200 aeroplanes (constructor numbers up to 969) to inspect the joggled doubler at the forward edge of each main landing gear bay and to install new doublers as set out in the referenced British Aerospace service bulletin. The inspection seeks fatigue cracks found in testing; completing the modification cancels the recurring inspections and is intended to extend the structure’s fatigue life.
