Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires operators of BAe 3100 (Jetstream) series aeroplanes to carry out the work specified in British Aerospace Alert Service Bulletin 27‑A‑JA 910340 by 15 April 1991. It applies to all owners/operators of the type, who must arrange and fund the required inspections/modifications.

The mandated action—aligned with the UK CAA’s mandatory classification—aims to prevent a possible uncommanded nose‑down pitching motion on landing with flaps at 50° when tailplane ice is present.
