Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of specified British Aerospace BAe 3100 (Jetstream) aeroplanes (listed constructor numbers) to have corrective work done on the passenger/crew door restraint cable per BAe Alert Service Bulletin SB 52-A-JM7704.

It responds to a failure mode where upper-attachment disconnection can prevent door opening, and mandates the manufacturer’s corrective procedure be completed by 30 June 1990 to keep the main door usable as an emergency exit.
