Plain English Summary

5/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of British Aerospace Jetstream Series 3100 aircraft with Sperry SPZ‑200B (and some SPZ‑500) autopilots to carry out the inspections/parts actions set out in Jetstream Alert Service Bulletin 22‑A‑JA 861023 Revision 3. The AD responds to a reported elevator‑trim servo cable failure that could leave the trim tab fixed despite normal cockpit indications; earlier amendments adjusted cable life limits and introduced an improved 7x19 cable. Compliance details are specified in Part J of the requirement document.
