Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority requires all HP137 Mk 1, Jetstream Series 200 and 3100 aircraft to be inspected and repaired per BAe Service Bulletin 27-JM5257 — completed within 600 flight hours after 31 Aug 1986 or by 28 Feb 1987 — after discovery that an inadequately peened nut on the aileron drive quadrant can cause vibration or restrict aileron travel. Operators must schedule, pay for and complete the SB work to reduce that safety risk.
