| Applicability: | All Kawasaki BK 117 helicopters with serial numbers 1001 to 1037 inclusive, except 1007. |

| Requirement: | 1. Electrical bonding of landing gear in accordance with Kawasaki Service Bulletin No. KSB-117-066. |
| 2. Removal of fuel vapor return lines in accordance with Kawasaki Service Bulletin No. KSB-117-069. | |
| Note: JCAB AD 3374-91 refers. | |
| Compliance: | If not already accomplished, within 50 hours time in service after the effective date of this amendment. |
| This Amendment becomes effective on 27 August 2009. | |
| Background: | The original issue of this AD was issued in 1991. It applied to MBB BK 117 by serial number, and referred to MBB Alert SB No. 117-90-104. |
| Amendment 1 is raised to nominate Kawasaki helicopters, Kawasaki Service Bulletins, and the JCAB Airworthiness Directive. Requirement No. 2 is added. |
