| Applicability: | Kawasaki Model BK117C-1 and C-2 helicopters, serial number 4001 through 4003, and 4005 through 4010. |

| Requirement: | 1. Loosen and re-torque the existing clamps on the extinguishing agent injection tube connections, in accordance with Kawasaki Service Bulletin No.KSB-117-283 or later JCAB approved revision.These actions are not required for Kawasaki Model BK117C-2 helicopter, serial number 4010.2. Modify the extinguishing agent injection tube connections in accordance with Kawasaki Service BulletinNo.KSB-117-283 or later JCAB approved revision.Note: JCAB AD No. TCD-7111-2007 dated 22 June 2007 refers. |
| Compliance: | 1. Within 30 days after the effective date of this AD, unless previously accomplished.2. Within 100 flight hours after the effective date of this AD, unless previously accomplished. |

| Background: | An investigation following an inadvertent operation of the fire extinguishing system discovered that one of two injection tubes became disconnected. This condition, if not corrected, could affect the ability of the fire extinguishing system to perform its intended function. |
