Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of IAI 1121/1121A/1121B, 1123 and 1124/1124A aircraft to inspect the horizontal stabilizer trim actuator and confirm the tierod is correctly routed through the dust shield and both jackscrew assemblies, using the referenced Israel Aircraft Industries Alert Service Bulletins. The inspection must be completed within 25 flying hours because an incorrectly installed dust shield can jam the actuator and lead to loss of pitch control.
