Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Requires operators of Israel Aircraft Industries 1124/1124A aeroplanes to inspect and/or modify the aileron control rod P/N 513506-503 per the manufacturer’s service bulletin (1124‑27‑100, Revision 1 or 2). Until the improved rod assembly in Revision 2 is fitted, inspections must be repeated at intervals not exceeding 150 flight hours. Operators/owners pay for inspections and any replacements. The directive responds to corrosion found on overseas aircraft; fitting the Revision 2 assembly ends the repetitive inspection requirement.
