Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of IAI Model 1125 Astra (S/N 004–039, and later aircraft if nose gear/drag brace were replaced) to do a visual and eddy‑current inspection of the drag‑brace upper radius per IAI Alert Service Bulletin 1125‑32A‑095. Replacing the brace with IAI P/N 25W272007‑501 ends the requirement. Effective 25 July 2001.

It affects owners, operators and maintenance organisations: inspections must occur within 25 flight hours unless done in the previous 250 hours, then follow the Astra Maintenance Manual. Operators pay inspection and replacement costs; CASA enforces compliance.
