Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners and operators of Schweizer (Hughes) 269 series helicopters fitted with specified main rotor blades or dampers must perform mandatory inspections of the main rotor blade root‑fitting and damper bolts per Hughes Service Instruction N‑119.

The check must be done within 50 flight hours after August 30, 1974. It addresses critical fasteners whose failure could permit in‑flight blade separation and catastrophic loss.
