Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of Schweizer (Hughes) 269-series helicopters fitted with certain main-rotor blade part numbers to perform an initial and recurring inspection per Hughes Service Instruction N‑9.2. It delegates technical procedures and intervals to the manufacturer document, so compliance depends on accessing and following that SIN. The cost and operational impacts (inspections, repairs, downtime) fall to the operators; the measure’s aim is to ensure blade integrity and safety.
