Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Schweizer (Hughes) 269A and 269B helicopters to conduct recurring visual inspections (with a light and mirror) of left‑ and right‑hand engine mount drive end hanger assemblies (parts 269A8617/269A8618) for cracking at intervals not exceeding 60 hours TIS (from 19 May 1967). Compliance costs (labour, inspection aids, and any repairs or part replacements) fall to operators/maintenance providers; the text mandates inspection but gives no crack‑size criteria or specific corrective procedures.
