AD/HU 269/105 - Tailboom Support Struts - CANCELLED

This document cancels an old helicopter safety rule that required inspections for cracked tailboom support struts on Schweizer (Hughes) 269 Series Helicopters.

What the original rule required:

• A one-time inspection of tailboom support struts for cracking
• Had to be completed before 200 hours of flight time (counting from August 1995)

What this document does:

• Cancels the inspection requirement effective 7 May 2009
• Removes the obligation for owners and operators to comply with this specific rule

Why cancel it now? The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) confirms that all affected helicopters were inspected and repaired decades ago. Since everyone has already complied, the rule is redundant and can be removed from the books.
