Plain English Summary

5/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of certain Schweizer (Hughes) 269-series helicopters with a specific engine-driven fuel pump drain tube (P/N 269A8326-95) to inspect and, if needed, fix any throttle-control interference following Schweizer SB B-235.1. CASA requires an initial inspection within 5 flight hours, recurring checks (up to 25‑hour intervals), and immediate action if the tube is too short or interferes. Owners/operators bear compliance costs; after the first inspection pilots may perform recurring checks, and maintenance entries plus an onboard copy of the directive are required.
