Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD mandates that all British Aerospace (Hawker Siddeley) HS 748 operators carry out the maintenance actions in BAe Mandatory Service Bulletin 54/29, as required by the referenced Requirement Document, to address abnormal movement and wear at the engine subframe/wing attachment that could damage the engine support.

It affects the entire HS 748 fleet, shifts inspection/repair costs and aircraft downtime onto operators, and relies on the manufacturer’s bulletin for technical steps, parts and timing.
