Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive mandates retirement of specified main and nose landing‑gear components on all Hawker Siddeley HS 748 aircraft, using the retirement lives set out in Dowty Aerospace SB 32‑104E. It was issued after fatigue testing showed those items are life‑limited.

Operators must track component life, remove parts at the stated limits, and fund replacements, labour and downtime—raising maintenance frequency and spare‑parts demand and creating potential grounding risks if parts are scarce.
