Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of British Aerospace HS 748 aircraft (modified by Mod 1472 but not yet by Mod 7513) to replace the Nose Landing Gear Jack Support Bracket Bearing Cap Attachment Studs (P/N 2cD13248) in accordance with British Aerospace Alert Service Bulletin A53/53 Rev 1. Replacement must occur before 7,000 landings; fitting Mod 7513 (longer‑life bolts) cancels the requirement.

It affects aircraft owners/operators who bear the cost and administrative burden, changes maintenance scheduling and component life-tracking, and relies on the external ASB for technical procedure.
