Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of specified BAe 125 series aircraft to isolate electrical power, access panel ZL, inspect the size‑10 battery cables from emergency contactors for chafing (especially near the fuse‑block supports), and replace any damaged cable. Inspections must be done before the next flight after 13 March 1987 and then at intervals not exceeding 12 months. The stated purpose is to prevent chafing‑related electrical faults; the recurring schedule creates a clear incentive for operators to install Mod. 253204A/B to stop repeat inspections.
