Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD mandates a mechanical modification (per McCauley Service Bulletin No. 116) to specified McCauley propeller governors, affecting aircraft owners/operators, maintenance and overhaul organisations, and parts suppliers. Governors must receive the SB116 modification before being re‑installed after their next reconditioning following 31 August 1979. Modified production and field units are identified by an “A” suffix on the model or serial number, allowing verification by inspection or maintenance records.
