Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive (Amendment 2) replaces the prior version and mandates upgraded occupant restraint systems (improved seatbelts/harnesses) for side‑facing seats. It applies to aircraft operators with those seats and requires installation or modification of restraints by the compliance deadlines. The change addresses the increased injury risk from side‑facing seating in crashes or severe turbulence.
