Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires all Eurocopter (Aerospatiale) Gazelle SA‑341/SA‑342 helicopters to have their landing‑gear legs inspected and any defects handled according to Aerospatiale Service Bulletin No. 05.18 (30 Apr 1980). It binds operators/owners to the bulletin’s inspection intervals, crack limits and repairs, with CASA enforcement. Practical effect: safety-driven inspections and repairs at the owner’s cost, with technical execution resting on maintenance organisations.
