Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of Eurocopter SA341 G and SA342 J helicopters fitted with Breeze hoists and the BL-7520-series hook to follow a specific operational procedure and to stop using straps on that hook, as set out in the Eurocopter Alert Service Bulletin. It was issued after an incorrect strap placement distorted the hook tongue and released a stretcher. The rule places a routine pre-hoist inspection and a short-term completion deadline on operators; the amendment only changes the referenced document type, not the technical steps.
