Plain English Summary

6/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators and maintainers of Eurocopter SA 341 G and SA 342 J (Gazelle) helicopters to remove or limit use of certain main rotor torsion tie bars and to follow Eurocopter Alert Service Bulletin No. 01.29. Mechanically, it shortens allowable calendar and flight-hour life limits for listed tie bars, cancels a mandatory daily check and the old return-for-check requirement, and introduces a new part number/time limit. It affects Gazelle operators by changing when parts must be retired or replaced and how maintenance is carried out.
