Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of GAF N22/N24 aeroplanes to remove the old cockpit placard and install a new, pilot-visible placard that mandates three ground-running actions (flaps 0°, hold control column against forward stabiliser stops, do not fit gust lock). Compliance is required before the aeroplane exceeds 25 hours TIS after 2 Oct 1991.

The change implements the manufacturer's revised ground-run guidance to reduce stabiliser/flap loads; operators bear the minor cost of placard replacement and any procedural adjustments.

Note: Nomad ASB ANMB-55-26 Revision 4 refers.

Compliance: Prior to exceeding 25 hours time in service after 2 October 1991.
