Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of GAF N22 and N24 aeroplanes to inspect fuel tank selector and shut‑off cable assemblies for potentially detached crimped sheath adjustment sleeves, a condition that can cause lost motion at selector or shut‑off valves. Inspections must follow GAF Alert Service Bulletin No. ANMD‑28‑11 and be completed within 25 hours time‑in‑service after 22 July 1980. Costs and repairs fall to operators or their maintenance providers, creating short‑term demand for inspection and repair services.
