Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of certain Gulfstream (Grumman American) GA-7 aeroplanes — those with the rudder bellcrank PN 7CS10534-3 shipped from Savannah before 12 Apr 1979 — to inspect and modify that bellcrank within short, specified time limits, using Grumman American Service Bulletin procedures.

It addresses a cracking risk from wind gusts while parked; operators bear the compliance burden, potential maintenance costs and downtime, and the directive does not specify funding, who must perform the work, or alternative compliance routes.
