Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires inspection of fuel‑tank baffles on specified Grumman G21A serial numbers at wing stations 42, 54 and 75 through handholds in the tank floor. If baffles are riveted to stiffeners no further action is needed; if attached by spot welds they must be reinspected every 100 hours and cracked baffles replaced with riveted baffles (replacement ends the inspection requirement). It affects aircraft owners/operators and maintenance organisations responsible for inspections, repairs and Certificates of Airworthiness.
