This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Gulfstream G.159 aircraft fitted with Rolls Royce Mod. 1800 acoustically lined air intakes ("Hush Kits") to remove those intakes per Rolls Royce Service Bulletin Da72‑513 by 22 February 1990. Issued after the manufacturer reported the G1 electrical supply may be insufficient to cope with ice accumulation in the Mod. 1800 intake, it forces immediate operational (and likely financial) action by affected operators.
