Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of Gulfstream (Grumman) G.159 series aircraft to retire specified life‑limited structural components at set flight‑hour or landing thresholds. It sets mandatory removal points for items such as wing‑fuselage connections, flap gear and a landing‑gear adapter, and tells operators without landing records to count one landing per flight hour.

The rule matters to aircraft owners and maintenance organisations because it creates enforceable replacement dates, imposes recordkeeping and scheduling obligations, and leads to direct replacement and downtime costs.
