Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This legally binding Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators and maintenance engineers of Grumman-built Gulfstream G1159 and G‑IV series jets to inspect and modify the airplane windows per Grumman Customer Bulletin No. 269. The work must be completed within 600 flight hours or within 12 months after 31 December 1978 (whichever is earlier). Compliance is mandatory to maintain legal airworthiness in Australia due to identified safety risks with the windows.
