Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This safety directive requires Gulfstream G1159 and G‑IV operators to prevent occupancy of specific jumpseats (between fuselage stations 119–169) during taxi, takeoff, and landing. Operators must either install a prescribed warning placard or fit a nose‑gear wheel‑well bulkhead hardware modification per GAAC Service Change No. 226 Part 11. The placard can be removed once the modification is installed (or temporarily with an approved concession). Compliance is due within 10 flight hours after 15 May 1978; extensions not allowed past 8 November 1979 (proof of kit commitment required by 21 July 1978).
